About the Origins of Sic Bo
The name Sic Bo originally meant "two bricks". This changed over the years to "dice pair". It is also known throughout Asia as Tai Sai, Dai Siu, and Hi-Lo and is extremely popular especially in the Phillippines. It is one of the lesser known casino games and is often played in special rooms in a casino which are set aside for Asian games.
Sic Bo today is played with three dice, which are rolled or shaken in a special cup or basket, and a very colorfully marked table. The markings on the table designate a variety of possible bets something like a roulette table. One of Sic Bo's main attractions is that the winning areas on the table light up with colored lights eliciting all kinds of exclamations from the players.
How to Play Sic Bo
The aim of the game is to guess the result of the total or combination of totals of the rolled dice. You can make one or more bets on the table, and there are a variety of bets which can be wagered on the outcome of the dice roll.
Big Bet - the total score of the three dice will fall between the numbers of 11 and 17
Small Bet - the total count of the dice will fall between 4 and 10
Single Bet - a wager that a specific number (1 thru 6) will come up on any one or more of the three dice
Two Numbers - betting that a combination of two numbers will show
Totals Bet - a bet on the total count (4 to 17) of the three dice
Any Pair - betting that a pair of a specific number will come up
Triplets - betting that all three dice will show up with a specific number (this bet has a huge house advantage and is considered the worst bet at the Sic Bo Table)
To play Sic Bo online there are a few other details to learn in addition to the above betting options. There are several "buttons" which the player must understand in order to play:
Increase(+) or Decrease(-): This button is the chip selector which indicates the chip amount you wish to bet.
Roll: The roll button is used to start the game with the rolling of the dice.
Clear: This button erases all numbers selected by you and also clears the Sic Bo table at the end of a round.
Undo: Used to reverse the actions of the "clear" button.
Redo: The redo button repeats whatever former action you have made.
Repeat: The repeat button will repeat your last table bet.
